Iron Data Sells its Transportation Division to Spire Capital

March 28, 2014, Arlington, Virginia – Iron Data announced today that it has sold its Transportation Division to Spire Capital.

The transaction enables Iron Data to focus its operational and strategic attention on its core mission of becoming the industry-leading vendor of public sector software. Iron Data provides software that enables high performance government in areas including case management, licensing and regulatory, and other public sector applications.

The Transportation Division provides private sector customers with Transportation Spend Management solutions to help manage transportation services from procurement through payment. Spire Capital is a private equity firm focused on companies in the business services, information services, education, media and communications sectors. With the close of the transaction, the Transportation Division has become a standalone company that assumes the Division’s employees, customers and contracts.

Stifel acted as the financial advisor to Iron Data for the transaction. Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, LLP served as counsel to the Company.
